My name is James Russell Hill, originally from Los Angeles, CA. I’ve been a part of the J.D Mellberg Financial team since January of 2016. I started out as an Account Executive and have since become a Marketer for the firm. My job in its simplest terms is to help advisor reach their financial goals by tapping into our 24/7 marketing and innovative sales processes and strategies.

 

I moved to Tucson at the age of 9. I attended the local schools Bloom Elementary, Magee Middle School, Sahuaro High School and Pima Community College respectively. I earned my Associates in Liberal Arts.

 

I’ve never been afraid of hard work. My very first job was actually going to summer school between my 6th and 7th grade year. That summer I earned $1200 and got my first taste of independence. Throughout my high school and college tenure I would balance my day with school and work. Some of the jobs I had included a call center survey conductor for fortune 500 companies, Working in retail at Dillard’s and working at the local movie theatre. What I learned from those experiences was although it an honest day’s work it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

 

I coach youth basketball when I’m not looking for top talent to partner with J.D. Mellberg Financial. I have 2 sons Demaurier James Hill (12) and Avondre Russell Hill (10). They play for Young Americans Basketball. I love sports because of the direct correlation to winning on a court and in life. I believe it starts with a confident mindset, and that happens when you hone your craft.

 

My experience with J.D. Mellberg Financial has taught me what advisors need to be successful. I have spoken to thousands of financial advisors, experts, consultant’s, registered investment advisors, CFP’s, fiduciaries, etc. and everyone agrees that having consistent marketing, a solid process, and a back office to dot I’s and cross t’s are essential to having success in this industry.

 

Helping an advisor or partner achieve the ultimate work life balance is what I’m here for. My team has done the research on top financial software, we test new marketing strategies, we have the opportunities in the form of pre- set appointments not leads and last we have a new business concierge service that will improve your submit to issue time 10 fold.
